Perhaps surprisingly, this is the first laptop I have ever bought for myself. Every other one was through work or paid for through university LD grant funds. Brand new 15” retina, 2.7GHz, 16GB, 512GB SSD. These things cost an arm and a leg, but with the recent Macbook spec improvements, it is slightly better than my work laptop.
