Peak (pēk)

  1. (n) A point; the sharp end or top of anything that terminates in a point; as, the peak, or front, of a cap.
  2. (n) The highest value reached by some quantity in a time period.
  3. (v) To reach a highest degree or maximum.

Peek (pēk)

  1. (v) To look slyly, or with the eyes half closed, or through a crevice; to peep.

Pique (pēk)

  1. (n) A feeling of enmity between two entities; ill-feeling, animosity.
  2. (n) A feeling of irritation or resentment, awakened by a social slight or injury; offence, especially taken in an emotional sense with little thought or consideration.
  3. (v) To wound the pride of; to sting; to nettle; to irritate; to fret; to offend; to excite to anger.
  4. (v) To excite (interest, curiosity, etc.).
  5. (v) To arouse an emotion or provoke to action.

Example sentence: His good looks and charm piqued her interest, but later that night when she let him peek at some of what she wanted to offer him, he peaked too soon.
