So, I thought that I need a local team to cheer for. A fallback, if you will. A team I can actually watch on local cable.
I’ve decided to go with the Islanders.
I mean, sure, since I don’t care about the Blue Jays, I could have picked the Mets (not the Yankees, no, that’s a given), and since the NFL isn’t in Canada, there are probably a couple of football teams.
I’ve got to stick to hockey, though. It’s what I know. Not the Rangers. They’ve got some dick fans and a long history of, in my opinion, throwing money around buying high-profile players for show.
Since the Islanders are moving to Brooklyn (sorry, openareas), they’ll even be local!
My first love will always be the Leafs, of course.
