OOPS!
Tumblr Unfollowr and Tumblr Follow Checkr have been fixed and updated!
Apparently, I never took into account that tumblr follower and following numbers are displayed with commas (to separate thousands and millions). Now that I’ve passed that, I realized the scripts screw up.
You might want to update them now!
The problem is basically that the scripts would take a number with a comma and assume the actual number is the characters after the last comma. Let’s say you have 2,347 followers. The old version of these scripts would see that and go “hey, congrats, you have 347 followers. Now let me do all my work based on that CLEARLY WRONG assumption.”
Now that I’ve fixed them, they totally say “sup, bitches? I’m totes working correctly now.”
If you are unburdened with 1000+ followers or followees, I suppose you can wait to update….

Tumblr Follow Checkr Userscript
To support future development, make a donation!
Find out who you follow on tumblr that doesn’t follow you back and who follows you that you don’t follow back!
Great for checking out like-minded people that you haven’t had the chance to follow back yet.
Works in Firefox with Greasemonkey, Google Chrome and Opera.
Important Note
- If you have the Tumblr Unfollowr script installed, you should upgrade to the newest version for compatibility!
Limitations
- Because of some limitations with the way Tumblr presents your followers/following lists, some people have noticed people appearing to not be following/followed who actually are. You should always double-check before doing anything rash!

I’m not above accepting tips/donations for my work on tumblr userscripts and being an all-around decent guy.
Anything you have to offer would be a great help covering the expenses of my upcoming wedding and the mortgage on my house!

If you have any questions, you can ask me. DO NOT ask as anonymous, because I probably won’t answer the questions on my tumblr, I’ll just answer you back in your own askbox. If you are anon, you probably won’t get an answer.
Please enjoy responsibly.
Q:I'm actually surprised that your scripts haven't gotten super popular. Everyone should be using them! That Unfollowr one is the most intriguing since I had no idea it would be practical to do via Javascript.
I think practical is the wrong word. Possible is probably more precise.
Take your number of followers, divide by 40. That’s the number of AJAX calls the script has to do every time you click that button. No big deal for me at <400 followers, but I know this one person using it at 4200+…
Q:Safari scripts?
Try GreaseKit, Safari’s version of Greasemonkey. The scripts may or may not work with it, though, as I haven’t tested on that platform.

Tumblr Reply Replies, version 0.4.1
NEW in version 0.4.1:
- STABILITY!
- Remember when sometimes (perhaps often) that you’d click a reply and nothing would show up in the new post? I fixed it!
- Fix photo reply image appearing blank if you quote a reply while Tumblr SafeDash script is installed (and active)
- WOOO! RAH! JEREMY ROCKS! THE CROWD GOES WILD!
If you already have an older version installed, just click the Install link on the Tumblr Reply Replies page again.
Tumblr Reply Replies! Sorta!
This script, for use with Chrome (possibly Opera) and Greasemonkey on Firefox, will allow you to reply to any dashboard notification on tumblr, whether they be replies, likes, answers or what have you!
Really, what it will actually do when you click the icon of any notification in your dash is open a new text post and populate the rich text editor with the notification in quoted form so you can type in a response.
It will preserve the original reply’s link to the tumblrer who replied and to the original post they replied to.
Special Features:
Multiple Notification Reply
If you want to reply to multiple notifications in the same post, now you can!
- Hold down the Shift key and click on the notification icons of each of the notifications you want to reply to.
- Click without the Shift key on the last notification you want to include.
- All the notifications will appear in a single post in chronological order.
Avatars Included
By default, the script will include the 16x16 avatar of the tumblrer the notification is from. All without turning the avatar into one of those silly grey boxes!
If you want to change the setting for whether or not to include the avatar, do one of the following:
- (Any Browser) Hold down the Ctrl key and click on any notification icon, and a dialog box will appear allowing you to change the setting.
- (Firefox/Greasemonkey Only) Use the available menu option in Tools > Greasemonkey > User Script Commands… > Show/Hide Avatars.
Feel free to reblog this or mention it to your friends and loved ones. In fact, I insist. Forcefully!

Please DON’T reblog!
I’ll re-post properly once userscripts.org’s server is back up.
So, I’ve finished my NSFW script, which I’m calling “Tumblr SafeDash”. This is basically what it will look like.
Every image* in the dash will be hidden like you see above. The image will only be visible when you put your mouse over the image.
*HIDDEN: all post images, all photo reply images will be hidden.
*NOT HIDDEN: all tumblr-generated avatars, all video thumbnails
There will be a little “SafeDash On”/”SafeDash Off” control in your dashboard that you can use to turn the feature on and off. Also, if you turn SafeDash on in one tab, it will turn it on in ALL tumblr tabs/windows you have open.
SafeDash will NOT block images from people’s tumblr pages, or individual post pages, only dashboard views (/dashboard, /tumblelog/you, /likes, /queue, /drafts).
I’ve got an NSFW blocker done, I just need to test in Chrome tomorrow
Tumblr Unfollowr Fix: No, you haven't been unfollowed by EVERYBODY
It looks like I forgot to take into account that tumblr error pages suck.
If you click on the unfollowr button when tumblr starts showing that stupid “We’ll be back shortly” page, it might be possible that the script will misinterpret this and incorrectly tell you that you’ve been unfollowed by everybody (or large groups of people).
So, you might want to upgrade to version 0.1.0!
I always suspected my 2000th post would be about a script fix….
Tumblr 1-Up Userscript
Inspired by a tweet by meklarian, I created the Twitter 1-Up userscript. Now it’s got a Tumblr version! Play the Super Mario Bros. 1-up sound (complete with falling mushroom) for every 100 hearts you give on tumblr!
Works in Firefox with Greasemonkey and Google Chrome.
