Opera just changed a whole bunch of their userscript support in a fucking minor release
So now, a bunch of my old userscripts are broken on Opera (Timestamps, Bookmarker, Unfollowr, Follow Checkr).
Because, I’m giving up on porting Missing e to Opera for the near future (their extension API is horrible), so I feel like I should get these scripts working for Opera people. Ugh. They are so hacky. The Missing e code is so much better. I don’t want to go back to it. Poop.
Screw you, Opera. Why can’t you be not Opera?
Q:It sucks that your scripts don't work for Opera anymore. I had installed a couple and everything was working just fine until today and now I had to uninstall them b/c it wouldn't let my dash load or make pictures bigger.
Why do people ask for tech support as Anon? How, in God’s name, can I help you?
Why don’t you get back in my askbox (AS YOURSELF) and let me know which scripts you had trouble with and I can look into it!
Tumbeasts getting you down? Kill some time waiting for Tumblr by going hunting! Just click on the silly little creatures to shoot ‘em. Complete with sound effects.
Note: This userscript is purely for entertainment purposes. I understand the infrastructure issues Tumblr suffers from, and I wish them the best. While I wait for uptime, I figured it would be nice to take my frustrations out on the little buggers that ruin everybody’s day.
Works on Firefox with Greasemonkey and Chrome
Userscript Installation Instructions
‘Missing e’
I’m *almost* done moving all my Tumblr userscripts into a single Google Chrome extension, with some new features.
Are you excited?
Woo!
I’ll also be working on extensions for Firefox and Safari. Chrome is just easier.

DO NOT REBLOG THIS! If you want, please reblog the original post (which has been updated with the new features) or my post relating to all my tumblr userscripts.
I’ve made a couple of useful updates for this NSFW-protecting tool:
- Photoset thumbnails are now revealed and hidden all at once when you hover your mouse over any of them
- Enlarged photoset slideshows (when you click on photoset thumbnails) are hidden unless you hover your mouse over it
Oops, looks like there was a bug in creating the tumblr name tags when replying to multiple posts. Version 0.5.1 is fixed now. Sorry!
I’ve updated the Tumblr Reply Replies userscript to add tags to the reply post for everybody you are replying to.
Also, you can change this setting (and the setting for whether or not to add the tumblr avatar to the new post) by right-clicking on a notification icon (or, if you have Firefox and Greasemonkey, using the menu item: Tools > Greasemonkey > User Script Commands… > Tumblr Reply Replies - Settings)
PLEASE DON’T REBLOG THIS! Instead, reblog the updated Tumblr Reply Replies post or the post for all my tumblr scripts if you want.

Q:Hey good sir,
At some point would it be possible to label our tumblr bookmarks from your great script? Sometimes I tag posts for reasons other than to remember my spot, and it would be helpful to know which bookmark is for what.
If not, no big deal.
It’s in my notes to do. It shouldn’t be extremely hard, but it’s there.
After the wedding. So, not long.
Mac: Greasemonkey v0.9.x breaks install for user scripts?
For those of you who have had problems installing my userscripts with Firefox on Mac lately, this might be a Greasemonkey 0.9.x problem.
So I’m a pigheaded Anglophone, apparently
I just fixed the Tumblr Follow Checkr and Tumblr Unfollowr scripts so that they’ll work for tumblrs who have their language set to something other than English.
Sometimes googling your name for an hour means you find a tumblr post that asks “WHY DOES JEREMY CUTLER HATE GERMAN?”
Though, I’d have preferred a note in my askbox….
